Montana Marshalls #3

“That’s the Marshall men – they don’t know the word for slow down, be careful, stop and think…you know, prudence.”

Ruby Jane “RJ” Marshall

Disclaimer: Susan May Warren is my sister-in-law. She did not request that I review this book and all opinions are my own.

Note: Ford is the third book in the Montana Marshalls series. The plot continues right from one book to the next. If you have not read Knox and Tate, you’ll want to read them first.

Apparently, Ford was jealous of Knox and Tate getting caught in explosions. Ford decides to blow himself up… for a good cause, of course. This starts the book out with a bang, and the frenetic pace continues through to the end. What else would you expect from a Navy SEAL determined to save his twin sister?

Ruby Jane “RJ” found herself caught in the middle of an assassination plot in Russia at the end of Tate. Now, she is stuck in Russia and trying to get home before she is killed. As soon as Ford hears, he is ready to pack up and ride to her rescue. He brings along Scarlett, a former member of his SEAL team and the woman that he’s falling for.

This book is definitely the most action-packed of the series to date. Tensions are high as conspiracies are uncovered, and everyone is at risk. The journey takes Ford, Scarlett, RJ, and new faces York and Coco across Europe and Russia with the FSB and Bratva, Russian mafia, hot on their trail.

There is a lot of character growth along the way. Ford and Scarlett confront their growing attraction for one another and Ford is faced with the consequences of his Lone Wolf attitude. More family secrets come to light. Foster sister Coco has been holding out on everyone. It also is becoming clear that troubles the Marshall siblings have been getting caught up in are more connected than they thought.

Ford is a well-written, suspense-filled ride. Plots are mounting up, and how everything will end for the Marshall siblings is yet to be seen.
